A couple days ago I put together a beta version of a route planner for Famous Food Finder. The beta is now running live where users can play around with it and report any bugs (if their awesome like that). Basically what the feature does is take in a start and end location. From there it provides you with the standard Google Map directions, but also plots your route out on the populated map. Now you can see all the places you can visit on the way to or from your destination. 

We do currently know of a bug right now where the icons from the map will not all get removed on the route planner. Once we fix this you will be able to specify a radius (in miles) of how far you would like to search off of your route. This will guarantee that you will not be going too far out of your way to visit a place. We hope you and enjoy and as always feed back is always welcome.
